Odin – The One-Eyed All-Father

Odin has many names and is the god of both war and death. Half of the warriors who die in battle are taken to his hall of Valhalla. He is the one-eyed All-Father, who sacrificed his eye in order to see everything that happens in the world

Odin's Ravens - Hugin and Munin

Hugin and Munin are the two black ravens most commonly associated with the wise but also war-frenzied god Odin. Their names roughly translate from Old Norse as Thought and Memory (intellectual thought – hugr, and emotional thought, desire, and emotion – muninn).

How it's made

The process starts by choosing the wood. The wood board is then sanded to a smooth finish. It is then washed with a high quality stain and coated with semi-gloss polyurethane. The image is then engraved with an industry leading laser. Next I meticulously add beautiful detail, by hand, using water based acrylic paint. Everything is then sealed with a final coat of semi-gloss poly.
